Work in New Zealand?

Ok so me and my boyfriend moved to New Zealand for two years in April, then I hope that if we can get residence I'd like to stay. What kind of jobs are available in the first place for travelers and then when we're lucky a site to settle? I am a qualified beauty therapist with more than five years of experience working in a salon and sale of equipment and then teach therapists to use the computer. My boyfriend is an employee working with foundations of mass, but is also a qualified gym instructor. I'd be qualified as a teacher so I can teach well my job or become an elementary school teacher, I have a 8 and B in GCSE and 4 levels of grade B and C.
